The Mistral AI start-up has recently announced a series of partnerships, including with telecoms giant Orange. And it is moving ahead with plans to build its own data centre in France.

France has established itself as a European hotspot for Artificial Intelligence and has attracted a lot of foreign capital. But the elections called by President Emmanuel Macron are causing concern.

Despite declining funding, France's startup scene is regarded as resilient. This is also thanks to the French government, which actively supports it through the targeted promotion of the French Tech initiative.

Since Brexit, the cities of Amsterdam and Paris have become home to major off-exchange platforms Turquoise, Aquis, and CBOE Europe. The liquidity concentrated there enhances the attractiveness of these locations in comparison to Frankfurt, especially for new issuers.
