After many years of stagnation, German industry hopes for more competitive tax conditions to be put in place by the next government. The various parties have now set out their tax reform plans.

During the transition phase of AI introduction, wages will tend to fall and capital income will increase. The IMF is calling for a reorganisation of the tax system, an expansion of social assistance, and targeted training.

It is not yet clear how many jobs will be lost or created as a result of AI. The restructuring phase poses new questions for tax and economic policy. And there is a risk of social unrest if no countermeasures are taken.
